<p><strong>Mohamed Abdelgayed Ibrahim Elaraby is the Chief Operations Officer at Elaraby Co.</strong></p><br /> <p>He joined the family business in 1995 and has steadily grown with the company. During his career, Mohamed has worked in various business units at Elaraby.</p><br /> <p>He joined the family council in 2006 and was appointed as a board member of the Elaraby Group Of Companies in 2010.</p><br /> <p>In 2011, Mohamed was appointed as the Managing Director Of Toshiba Elaraby Visual Product Company, as subsidiary of the holding company. Mohamed has completed his Masters in Supply Chain Management.</p>
Mohsin Chaudhry
<p><strong>Mohsin is a Corporate Governance Officer and the project leader for IFC Corporate Governance (CG) Project for Pakistan and Afghanistan.</strong></p><br /> <p>He joined IFC in 2007. He has worked with CG institutes, regulators, consultants, and other key stakeholders to reform the corporate governance regime in Pakistan. He has developed training material for a pioneering board leadership program in Pakistan and peer-reviewed the corporate governance codes for Pakistan and Afghanistan. Mohsin has provided in depth CG advisory services to some of the largest companies and banks in Pakistan and MENA Region.</p><br /> <p>Mohsin is a qualified lawyer. Before joining IFC, he had been working with Private Power and Infrastructure Board, to which he brought five years’ experience, as an associate at law firms in Lahore and Islamabad, in corporate law and electricity regulation.</p><br /> <p>Mohsin holds an LL.M. from the University College London and a bachelor’s degree in law from the University Law College Lahore. Mohsin has written several articles on legal and governance topics.</p><br /> <p>Mohsin speaks English and Urdu fluently.</p>
Charles Freeland
<p><strong>Charles Freeland, Former Deputy Secretary General, Basel Committee on Banking Supervision</strong></p><br /> <p>Charles joined the Bank of England in late 1964. In 1975 he was seconded to the Bank for International Settlements for three years, where he worked for the Committee of EU central bank Governors chaired by Gordon Richardson. In 1978, he took up the only full-time post on the Secretariat of the Basel Committee on Banking Supervision. He was thus intimately involved from the outset in the development of the Basel I and Basel II frameworks for minimum regulatory capital and other regulatory initiatives until his retirement in 2007<br /> <br /> As well as acting as the principal secretary for the Basel Committee itself, and being responsible for the overall coordination of its publications, Charles chaired several of the Committee’s task forces and was at the date of his retirement still chairing two of its working groups, one on Basel II in the emerging markets and the other on cross-border issues. He represented the Basel Committee on several regional banking supervisory Committees and headed the organisation of its biennial world banking supervisory conferences.<br /> <br /> Since retirement from the BIS in 2007 Charles has been active on the lecture circuit and specifically serves as a council scholar on Basel III for the Gerson Lehrman Group and as consultant for the Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum, as well as doing occasional work for the OECD and the Central Banking Journal.</p>
Grant Kirkpatrick
<div>Grant Kirkpatrick, PhD (Christian Albrecht University, Germany).</div><br /> <p>Until his retirement in August 2012, Mr Kirkpatrick was Deputy Head of the Corporate Affairs Division of the OECD’s Directorate for Financial and Enterprise Affairs where he worked from 2003. Since his retirement, he has been active as a consultant for, inter alia, the World Bank, the OECD and a central bank. He is a member of Hawkamah’s editorial board and has contributed several articles. Prior to his retirement, he was responsible for overseeing the review of the Principles of Corporate Governance in 2004 and in bringing into the review process the experience gained from the Regional Corporate Governance Roundtables.</p><br /> <div>Mr Kirkpatrick has worked on corporate governance issues in the banking sector in Asia and in MENA and was a member of the Basel Committee’s Corporate Governance Task Force to revise its Core Principles covering the corporate governance of banks. Published work includes an overview of corporate governance issues raised by the financial crisis (The Corporate Governance Lessons of the Financial Crisis) and country reviews of topics such as related party transactions, company groups, remuneration and board nomination and election. Prior to the OECD he worked in different universities and research institutes and lectured, inter alia, in development economics and macroeconomics.</div>
Samer Abdelhaq
Samer Abdelhaq joined the National Bank of Abu Dhabi (NBAD) in June 2008 as the Deputy General Counsel and became the Group General Counsel in January 2010. In addition to this Legal role, Mr. Abdelhaq became Group Board Secretary in April 2012 and, as of July 2013, is also responsible for Group Compliance.<br /> <br /> Prior to joining NBAD, Mr. Abdelhaq practiced banking and finance law with Allen & Overy and Simmons & Simmons.<br /> <br /> Mr. Abdelhaq holds an LLB from University of Jordan, LLM in International Banking and Finance Law from Boston University, and a post-graduate Diploma in Law from Nottingham Trent University. He is also a member of the Law Society of England & Wales.

Andrew Chambers
<p>Andrew was twice mentioned in House of Lords’ debates as an authority on corporate governance and by <em>The Times</em> as <em>‘a worldwide authority on corporate governance’</em>. Author of <em>Chambers Corporate Governance Handbook</em> (6<sup>th</sup> ed., Mal 2014, Bloomsbury, ISBN 978 1 78043 482 7).</p><br /> <p>He was Dean of the leading Cass Business School where he is professor emeritus. Appointed in 2010 as the Specialist Advisor to the House of Lords’ Economic Affairs Select Committee’s Inquiry into <em>Auditors: market concentration and their role</em> that led to audit market reforms. Andrew was one of a seven member UK committee that in 2013 published enhancded ‘<em>Internal Audit Guidance for Financial Services’. </em>Andrew is a jurist for the Hawkamah Bank Corporate Governance Awards in the MENASA region and for the ICSA Hermes Transparency in Governance Awards.</p><br /> <p><strong>Eur Ing Prof ANDREW D CHAMBERS, BA, PhD, CEng, FCCA, FCA, FBCS, CITP, FRSA, FIIA</strong></p>
Stephen Glynn
Stephen Glynn has extensive experience in the regulation of financial and capital markets, financial services and products and listed and unlisted corporate entities. As a member of the DFSA’s executive management team he contributes to the strategic direction and management of the authority.<br /> <br /> Mr Glynn’s responsibilities include regulating and enforcing compliance with prudential and conduct of business obligations within the DIFC. He has extensive experience applying administrative, civil and criminal remedies in domestic and cross-border investigations. His particular areas of expertise include corporate governance, capital markets, mutual funds, risk management, fraud, anti-money laundering, securities and financial services regulation.<br /> <br /> Mr Glynn is presently a member of the International Organisation of Securities Commissions Committee 4 which deals with enforcement and the exchange of information. He previously held various senior positions with the Australian Securities and Investments Commission, having responsibility for several divisions including, markets and investments, managed investments, financial services regulation, corporate investigations and financial analysis. He is a forensic financial analyst and a former member of the Investigations Committee of the National Council of Certified Practising Accountants Australia.<br /> <br /> Before joining the DFSA, Mr Glynn was the Managing Director of Financial Services Compliance, a consultancy providing compliance and risk management services to the Australian financial services industry.<br /> <br /> He has bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Australian universities.
Kamal Daoudi
<p><strong>Kamal Daoudi is the President of the Fourth Chamber-Court of Accounts-Kingdom of Morocco.</strong></p><br /> <p>He is charge of auditing the departments of Trade, Industry, ITC, Public Administration, Tourism, Handicraft, and Social Subsidies. Prior to this, Kamal has worked as the magistrate at the Court of Accounts, as Senior Auditor, Head of Section and Head of Cabinet of the President.<br /> <br /> Kamal is a PhD researcher on Corporate Governance of SOEs-at Sorbonne University-Paris, he holds a Master’s degrees in Corporate Law (2013), in Business Administration (2004), in Public Administration (1999) and a MsC in Civil Engineering (1997). His other qualifications include International qualifications of Certified Internal Auditor (CIA) and Certified Fraud Examiner (CFE).</p>
Lubna Qassim
<p><strong>Group Chief General Counsel and Company Secretary, Emirates NBD (PJSC)</strong></p><br /> <p>Lubna Qassim is the Group Chief General Counsel & Company Secretary of Emirates NBD Bank (PJSC). She is also, at present, the first female EXCO member of Emirates NBD. Previously, Ms Qassim has held positions as Director of the Department of Economic Legislations at the UAE Ministry of Economy and the Executive Director of the Legal and Regulatory Affairs Department at Dubai Economic Council. Prior to that, Ms Qassim spent considerable years in the corporate practice offices of Clifford Chance both in Dubai and London.</p><br /> <p>Ms Qassim is the first UAE national to have worked at the World Bank as the Public Sector Consultant and at the House of Lords, Parliament of the UK. In 2013 she was selected by William Hague, United Kingdom’s First Secretary of State and Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs, for her leadership skills to participate in the Future International Leadership Programme which took place in London. </p><br /> <p>Ms Qassim is a fellow at Dubai School of Government and also sits on the Global Economic Symposium Fellows Advisory Committee of the Kiel University of the World Economy. In 2011 she was elected to sit on the Boards of the Chartered Institute of Securities and Investment (CISI) and Injaz UAE Foundation. Ms Qassim was also the first national to sit on the Committee of the British Business Group in Dubai and Northern Emirates in 2009 and in 2013 the British Business Group of Abu Dhabi as the UAE Alliances Director. </p><br /> <p>In 2015 Ms Qassim was elected by HH Sheikh Mohammed Bin Rashid Al Maktoum to sit on the Board of Dubai Women’s Establishment. Ammar Ahmed Shata

Mustafa Abdel Wadood
<p><strong>Mustafa Abdel-Wadood</strong> oversees The Abraaj Group’s investment activities across the various geographies. He is a <strong>Board Member of The Abraaj Group and Chairman of the Management Executive Committee.</strong><br /> <br /> He joined from EFG-Hermes, where he was Chief Executive Officer for the UAE. Before this, he co-founded Sigma Capital and served as its Managing Director. Prior to that he spent eight years at Orascom Group as Director of Development and Investments. Mr Abdel-Wadood has served on the Boards of several publicly listed and private companies.<br /> <br /> In 2002, the World Economic Forum named Mr Abdel-Wadood a 'Global Leader for Tomorrow' and in 2007 named him a ‘Young Global Leader’. He is also a member of the Young Presidents’ Organization.<br /> <br /> He graduated in Business Administration from American University and holds an MBA from Georgetown University.</p>
Stilpon Nestor
<p><strong>Stilpon Nestor is the Managing Director of Nestor Advisors Ltd, a London- based corporate governance and organization consultancy.</strong> He has advised the boards of some of the largest companies and financial institutions in the EU, MENA, Asia and Latin America as well as several IFIs, including the World Bank/IFC, the EBRD, SECO and FMO.</p><br /> <p>Until March 2002, Stilpon was the Head of the Corporate Affairs Division at the OECD, the team which produced the OECD Principles, the global corporate governance benchmark.</p><br /> <p>He is a non-executive director of ACC, one of the largest contractors in the Gulf. He was also a NED and member of the risk committee of the European Investment Bank (2009-2013); a member of the EU Commission’s Advisory Board on Company Law and Corporate Governance (2007-2011); and a member of the board of the International Corporate Governance Network 2004 - 2007).</p>
Alec Aaltonen
<p><strong>Alec Aaltonen is the Associate Director-Corporate Governance at Hawkamah Institute for Corporate Governance</strong>. He is in charge of the Hawkamah/S&P Pan Arab ESG Index, Hawkamah’s small medium enterprise (SME) corporate governance initiatives, as well as corporate governance assessments. He is also a Global Corporate Governance Forum accredited facilitator for the Director Development Programmes run by the Mudara Institute of Directors (MIOD). </p><br /> <p> </p><br /> <p>Prior to joining Hawkamah, Alec worked for HSBC Global Asset Management in London, where he engaged with boards of FTSE-listed companies on their corporate governance practices. This entailed detailed corporate governance analysis of companies from sectors such as Banks, Financial Services, and Telecommunications and covered areas ranging from executive remuneration schemes to board balance and audit independence.</p><br /> <p> </p><br /> <p>He also prepared voting instructions for HSBC shareholdings at the general meetings of these companies. Prior to HSBC, he worked for a corporate governance consultancy in London as a Corporate Governance Executive.</p><br /> <p> </p><br /> <p>He holds Bachelor and Master’s degrees in International Relations, a Graduate Diploma in Law and a Master’s degree in International Commercial Law.</p>
Tarek Fadlallah
<p><strong>Tarek Fadlallah is Chief Executive Officer of Nomura Asset Management (Middle East)</strong></p><br /> <p>He has over 25 years of experience in the international capital markets, including more than 15 years focused on the Middle East.</p><br /> <p>Mr. Fadlallah is a founding member of CFA Bahrain, a former member of the board of academic qualifications at the Bahrain Institute for Banking and Finance, and frequently speaks at industry events and conferences, including appearances at CFA Arabia, CFA Bahrain, the Saudi Economic Forum, and Hedge Fund World.</p><br /> <p>He is the author of a contribution to the book The Gulf Region: A New Hub of Global Financial Power and several strategy notes on the GCC equity markets including "The Great Arabian Bubble." Mr. Fadlallah holds a BSc degree in economics from the London School of Economics and is a CFA charter holder.</p>
Olli V. Virtanen
Olli V. Virtanen has worked in corporate governance and investor relations for over 20 years. He was head of the Finnish Directors’ Institute and Editor of the Board News magazine. Virtanen has served as Board Member of the European Confederation of Directors’ Associations and was Chairman of ecoDa’s Communications Committee.<br /> <br /> Virtanen currently works as head of his consultancy, Virtanen Associates Oy, on governance and board related issues for private and publicly owned companies as well as various institutions and public sector entities.<br /> <br /> Virtanen is member of the Private Sector Advisory Group of the IFC’s corporate governance department as well as member of the European Corporate Governance Institute. <br /> <br /> At earlier stages of his career Virtanen was business journalist working for the Kauppalehti business daily in Helsinki, BBC External Services in London, and as Helsinki correspondent of the Financial Times.

Kit Bingham
<p><strong>Kit Bingham is a Partner in the Board Practice at Odgers Berndtson, and Head of the Chair & Non-Executive Director Practice.</strong></p><br /> <p>Kit joined after a career in financial journalism and financial public relations. He was Senior Writer at Financial News, a Dow Jones publication, covering both corporates and the capital markets, with a particular focus on corporate governance reform. In 2007, he joined The Communication Group as a Director of the Financial Practice, with a mix of professional services and financial services clients. He tutors an MBA in board effectiveness at Henley Management College, and graduated from Balliol College, Oxford University, in 1991.</p>
Frank Kane
<p><strong>Frank Kane is a commentator and columnist with The National newspaper of Abu Dhabi, writing on all aspects of business in the UAE and the Gulf.</strong><br /> <br /> He began work in the Emirates after a 25 year career in British financial journalism, writing and editing for global titles such as the Financial Times, Sunday Times and the Observer.<br /> In the UAE, he launched new titles and programmes in print and broadcast. Since 2009 he has been Senior Business Correspondent with The National, focusing on the Emirates’ reaction to and recovery from the global financial crisis.<br /> <br /> The need for higher standards of governance and transparency has been one of the consistent themes of his weekly columns and other writings in The National, especially at a time when exuberant UAE markets are once again coming under international investor scrutiny.</p>
Fatima Al Jaber
<p>Fatima Al Jaber is an engineer with significant expertise in the management of international businesses, a prominent leader in the GCC area construction industry and is a board member of the Al Jaber Group. Prior to this Fatima worked with the Abu Dhabi Government in various technical and managerial positions, including her pivotal role as Assistant Undersecretary for Projects & Technical Services at Abu Dhabi Public Works Department and Abu Dhabi Municipality.<br /> <br /> Fatima has won many awards and accolades from distinguished sources such as L’Official Middle East Magazine, Forbes Arabia and at the Arabian World Construction Summit, Amcham all lauding her as one of Arabia’s premier businesswomen. In 2010, Fatima became the first Emirati woman to be elected to the Board of Directors of the Abu Dhabi Chamber of Commerce and Industry. Fatima is a founding member and the current Chairperson of the Abu Dhabi Businesswomen’s Council and was elected as the Chairperson of the United Arab Emirates Businesswomen’s Council for the term 2012 to 2015. Fatima has been twice acknowledged by Forbes Arabia as an Arab career woman of note.</p><br /> <p>Most recently, Fatima was named by Arabian Business as the fifth Most Powerful Arab Woman for 2013. In Feb 2013 she was awarded an Entrepreneurship award at the Gr8 Woman Awards In 2014. she was acknowledged by Forbes International as No.94 in The World “100” Most Powerful Women list.<br /> Concerned with how women operate in economic fields, Fatima established Al Bashayer Investment Company, a service for female investors. She graduated from the UAE University, 1987 with a Bachelor Degree in Architectural Engineering.</p>
Baker Alhaboob
<p><strong>BAKER ALHABOOB Saudi lawyer</strong> with extensive experience of the Capital Market & Corporation at Saudi market and in its Corporate Governance arena.<br /> <br /> He Holds a BA Hons. in Islamic law from Imam University [Saudi], LLM Hons. Comparative Jurisprudence from the Higher Judicial Institute, [Saudi] and the LLM Hons. in Company Law and International Trade form Nottingham Law School [UK], where he won the Paragon Law prize as the best LLM student in 2009.<br /> <br /> After graduation, he worked as lawyer in GCC law firm, early 2005 joined the Saudi Capital Market Authority as legal adviser at the Securities Disputes committees, where he was lately appointed as head of Appeal Committee Studies. Abayomi Alawode
<p><strong>Abayomi Alawode</strong> joined the World Bank in 1997 as a Young Professional and is currently <strong>Head of Islamic Finance in the Bank’s Finance and Markets Global Practice. </strong></p><br /> <p>Previously, he worked in various capacities including as Practice Manager (Financial Systems Practice), Lead Financial Sector Specialist (East Asia and Pacific Region) and as Program Leader/Senior Financial Specialist (World Bank Institute). He also served as Adviser, Financial Stability at the Central Bank of Bahrain from 2006 to 2010. Before joining the World Bank, Abayomi was a Lecturer in Economics at the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria (1990-1994) and an Instructor in Development Economics at the University of Cambridge.</p><br /> <p>He holds a B.Sc and M.Sc (both in Economics) from the Obafemi Awolowo University, Ile-Ife, Nigeria and an M.Phil in Development Studies from the University of Cambridge, England. He is the author of several academic papers on monetary and financial sector issues.</p>
Amra Balic
<p><strong>Amra Balic, Managing Director, is Head of BlackRock's EMEA Corporate Governance and Responsible Investment (CGRI) team based in London.</strong> <br /> <br /> Amra is responsible for leading BlackRock's CGRI efforts in London, covering company engagement including voting in Europe, the Middle East and Africa on behalf of BlackRock's clients globally and integration of extra financial issues in the investment process. Amra is an active participant in the public corporate governance, stewardship and responsible investment debate and as such regularly speaks on the importance of these issues for company performance and investment decisions. Amra represents BlackRock on a number of industry bodies including the IMA Corporate Governance and Engagement Committee and the National Association of Pension Funds (UK) Stewardship Advisory Group. Alex Matturri
<p><strong>Alex Matturri is Chief Executive Officer at S&P Dow Jones Indices</strong>, responsible for all aspects of the index business globally. S&P Dow Jones Indices offers investment professionals around the world an array of products from efficiently representative indices to broad comprehensive benchmarks.</p><br /> <p>Previously, Alex was senior vice president and director of Global Equity Index Management at Northern Trust Global Investments (NTGI). There, he was responsible for all facets of passive equity portfolio management and trading, overseeing a US$ 185 billion passive investment business for the world’s third-largest quantitative manager. In addition to leading investment teams in the U.S., Europe and Asia, Alex was a driver for the global expansion of the passive investment business across all regions. Alex joined NTGI in 2003 with the company’s acquisition of Deutsche Asset Management’s Index and Quantitative Investment business. At Deutsche, he served as director and senior index investment strategist.</p><br /> <p>Alex is admitted as an attorney in New York and New Jersey, and is a Chartered Financial Analyst. He is also a member of the CFA Institute, and The New York Society of Security Analysts. Alex holds a bachelor of science degree with honors in finance from Lehigh University and a J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law.</p>
Dr. Ashraf Gamal El Din
<p><strong>Dr. Ashraf Gamal El Din is the Chief Executive Officer of Hawkamah, the Institute for Corporate Governance.</strong></p><br /> <p>Prior to joining Hawkamah, Dr. Ashraf was the Executive Chairman of Egypt Post. Before that, he was the Deputy Executive Director of the Egyptian Banking Institute, the training arm of the Central Bank of Egypt. He was also the founder and Project Manager of the Egyptian Corporate Responsibility Center working on promoting the concepts and application of CSR in Egypt. Furthermore, he was the Executive Director of the Egyptian Institute of Directors (EIoD), the Institute of Corporate Governance in Egypt and the Arab Region Dr Ashraf served as a board member and head of the Audit Committee in a number of listed, non-listed, State Owned and family owned companies. He also served a member of the General Assembly of the Holding Company for Transportation. </p><br /> <p>Furthermore, Dr. Ashraf is an Associate Professor of Management, Faculty of Commerce, Cairo University and holds a PhD degree from Manchester University, UK, and a Master’s degree in Public Administration from Carleton University, Canada. He further holds a Bachelor degree in Business Administration from Cairo University with highest honor. Dr. Ashraf worked as head of Business Administration Department at Nile University for Graduate Studied, affiliated with the Ministry of Communication & Information Technology. H.E. Essa Kazim
<p><strong>H.E. Essa Kazim is the Governor of Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Chairman of Borse Dubai, Chairman of Dubai Financial Market (DFM), Deputy Chairman of Supreme Legislation Committee in Dubai and a member in Dubai Supreme Fiscal Committee.</strong></p><br /> <p>H.E. Kazim began his career as a Senior Analyst in the Research and Statistics Department of the UAE Central Bank in 1988 and then moved to the Dubai Department of Economic Development as Director of Planning and Development in 1993. He was then appointed as Director General of the DFM from 1999 to 2006.</p><br /> <p>H.E. Kazim holds an honorary Doctorate from Coe College, a Masters degree in Economics from the University of Iowa, a Masters Degree in Total Quality Management from the University of Wollongong and A Bachelor degree from Coe College.</p><br /> <p>H.E. H.E. Sayyid Hamid Sultan Al Busaidi
<p><strong>Hamid Sultan Al Busaidi is currently in charge of supporting services directorate and acting director of Oman Centre for Corporate Governance (OCCG), Capital Market Authority</strong> since January 2014 till date. Prior to the current position he was senior director of Oman Centre for Corporate Governance from 2010 till end 2013.<br /> <br /> He was the pioneer behind establishing the Centre in 2010.<br /> <br /> Prior to his appointment as the head of Oman center for corporate governance, he has over 15 years’ experience in Muscat securities Market and Capital Market Authority. His experience is in numerous departments in the authority and held the position of Companies compliance and Corporate Governance Dept Director, Director of CG department, Awareness and External Relations, research and development department, department of market surveillance, Human Resources and Administrative affairs in the Capital Market Authority.<br /> <br /> Mr. Al-Busaidi started his career by joining Muscat Securities Market (MSM) in 1994 as a computer programmer. He was appointed one year later the head of IT section. In 1997 he was appointed deputy manager for Admin and finance department which was in charge of IT section, HR and administration. Then he joined Capital Market Authority in 1998.<br /> <br /> Hamid Al-Busaidi is holding MBA from Cardiff University in UK in year 2006. He has extensive experience in Capital Markets and specifically in corporate governance and participated as a speaker in local, regional and international conferences. Also he is member of the OECD-MENA, Working group committee. Peter Montagnon
<p><strong>Peter Montagnon is Associate Director, Institute of Business Ethics.</strong> Prior to this he was Senior Investment Adviser at the Financial Reporting Council, with responsibility for addressing corporate governance policy and strengthening the FRC's understanding of the investor community.<br /><br />Peter was a Senior Journalist on the Financial Times for twenty years, before becoming Director of Investment Affairs at the Association of British Insurers.<br /><br />After graduating in Modern Languages from Cambridge University in 1972, Mr Montagnon joined Reuters news agency as a financial journalist, completing assignments in Hong Kong, Zurich and Washington before joining the Financial Times.<br /><br />Mr Montagnon is a visiting Professor in Corporate Governance at the Cass Business School of the City University, London, and a member of the Corporate Governance Advisory Board of Norges Bank Investment Management. He is past Chairman of the Board of the International Corporate Governance Network and served on the European Commission's Corporate Governance Forum from 2005 to 2011.<br /><br /> </p>

From 1986 to 1988, he was with Sullivan & Cromwell LLP, a US law firm, in New York and London.</p><br /> <p class="MsoNormal">Frank Dangeard, who is a French national, was born in Canada on February 25, 1958. He graduated from the École des Hautes Etudes Commerciales (Prix Jouy-Entreprise), the Paris Institut d’Études Politiques (Laureat) and from the Harvard Law School (Fulbright Scholar, HLS Fellow). He and his wife live in London and have one daughter.</p><br /> <p class="MsoNormal">He is Chevalier de l’Ordre National du Mérite and Chevalier de la Légion d’Honneur. His most recent book, “La décision de crise dans l’entreprise – 12 histoires de gouvernance”, was published in February 2011 by Editions Odile Jacob, Paris.</p>
Alissa Amico
<p><strong>Ms. Alissa Amico (Koldertsova) is responsible for managing the OECD's work on improving corporate governance in the Middle East and North Africa region</strong>.</p><br /> <p>Since joining the OECD in 2005, Ms. Amico has been working with both government and private sector representatives in the region on advancing national and regional corporate governance priorities though capacity building activities, research and policy roundtables.</p><br /> <p>She has provided technical assistance to a number of governments in the region in design of regulatory initiatives and institution building. Ms. Amico has authored and co-authored a number of publications as well as articles in regional and international media. In recent years, her work has focused on improving corporate governance of listed companies and state-owned enterprises in the MENA region.</p><br /> <p>Ms. Amico holds a degree in Business Administration from York University (Canada) and a Masters degree in Political Economy from the London School of Economics (UK). She is a member of the French Institute of Directors (IFA) and has in 2011 been named one of the Top 100 Leaders in Europe and the Middle East by the Centre for Sustainability and Excellence.</p>
